About Us
PYAL is an organisation that brings together youth leaders and young people for intercession and empowerment. Our mission is to empower and equip youth leaders and young people to thrive and become all that God has called them to be.
Our History
In 2016, it was impressed on Dupe Makinde’s heart to bring together youth leaders to pray regularly for their young people. She reached out to a small group of youth leaders then and ‘Praying Youth Leaders’ group. She was then led to include young people in the group in 2020.
Our Why
The youths of today are facing many challenges but we trust God to work in their lives as we stand in the gap for them. We believe that every young person can thrive and become all that God has called them to be.
Aims & Objectives
- To pray and speak into the lives and future of the youths
- To empower young people and youth leaders to thrive.
- To help youth leaders to be effective in their work with young people
- To strengthen, equip and encourage youth ministers.
- To create a forum where youth leaders can share best practice and encourage one another.
- To reduce the isolation faced by children and youth ministers.

Meet The Coordinators
Dupe Makinde
Dupe Makinde is the Director and Founder of Positive Futures Group (PFG). PFG is a multi-award-winning charity that has been working in London since 2004. They facilitate learning, seminars, workshops, activities and forums that empower young people to access wider social and educational opportunity. They also have a presence in Africa where we give orphans and vulnerable children an equal chance to education and personal development. She also leads Blossom Network ministry; a Christian organisation that aids women of all ages to reach their full potential by helping them blossom; i.e. develop, flourish and prosper. She is a Financial Accountant with over 20 years’ experience of working in the public and private sector.
Oluwaseun Afilaka
Oluwaseun Afilaka (Afy) is a God lover, wife, mother, lecturer by profession and a youth leader. She is the founder of Parentteen Network and Igniteteen Network. She is keen on empowering parents and their teenagers through God’s Word and individual personal development. She supports adults in their journey of parenting to bring about stability in the home and reduce anti-social behaviour within the community. She also works with teenagers, empowering them with skills needed to navigate through life which are not taught in school settings. Her aim is to see the family unit prosper and for individual member to be all that God wants them to be.
Chiamaka Muoneke
She is an entrepreneur, a wife and a mother of two sons and a daughter. Chiamaka has a passion to see young people grow to know God, discover God's purpose for their lives and live to accomplish those purposes. She is currently a children church teacher as well as the coordinator of the youth group in her local church.
